. Helpful Pregnancy Information To Help You Survive The Hard Times

Once you become pregnant, everyone seems to love giving you advice and sharing stories about when they were pregnant. While these can be helpful and sometimes even humorous, it can be difficult to tell the difference between what’s advice is good and what isn’t. It can be hard to decipher on ones own, especially for a new mom. In this article, we will be sharing some basic pregnancy information which we hope will be helpful. Please use this information so that you have as healthy pregnancy as possible.

  1. Symptoms of Pregnancy: Pregnancy begins at inception. Most people don’t however, recognize that they are pregnant until far later.  There are symptoms of pregnancy that many women miss simply because they don’t know what they are. We will discuss what a few of those are. These symptoms may show up before a woman misses her first period.

One symptom is an increase in a women’s basal or “at rest” temperature. This begins to occur after ovulation, sometimes as soon as 48 hours afterward.   There is generally an increase of 1-2 degrees.

Breast tenderness, increased bust size and enlarged nipples are other early signs of pregnancy.  The breasts and nipples may increase in size and also become increasingly tender. The areolas may get bigger and also darker. This is due to hormonal changes. This is one piece of pregnancy information that many people aren’t aware of.

Feelings of nausea and even vomiting are two of the most common symptoms of early pregnancy. This is often referred to as morning sickness. This affects about 50% of women. Nausea and vomiting occurs because of changes in hormonal levels.

A sign of early pregnancy which is not as well known is constipation. When a woman gets pregnant, here progesterone levels change. This can lead to constipation. Tiredness is another sign. Progesterone is the cause of this early pregnancy symptom as well.

  1. Pregnancy Workouts: Some women want to take it easy when they are pregnant, avoiding physical exertion, no matter how little.  However, unless a person has a condition that warrants it, it typically isn’t a good idea to sit around and not do anything. Light exercise can be very helpful. It can even make delivery much more tolerable because the woman has increased her endurance via exercise.  It is imperative that women speak with their doctor before starting any program. Once they get the ok, they may want to check out a prenatal exercise class or buy doctor approved exercise tapes especially for pregnant women.

  1. Fertility Tips: For some women, becoming pregnant is easy. However, for others it is extremely difficult. Women who are having a hard time getting pregnant may find useful information in this guide (Pregnancy Miracle) which details a number of fertility tips.

Stages of Pregnancy

August 4th, 2010

When a woman becomes pregnant, she will go through three distinct stages. These stages of pregnancy are referred to as trimesters. Each will have different stressors and joys, experiences and challenges. Knowing what to expect can be quite helpful. It allows a woman and her partner to prepare and soldier through the discomfort that she experiences. It also helps them make preparations to improve the likelihood that they will have a healthy pregnancy. Below, we will take a look at the three stages of pregnancy, the first, second and third trimesters and provide some basic pregnancy information.

First Trimester: This is the initial stage of pregnancy. One woman’s experience may differ from another. The period is generally characterized by morning sickness, which may actually extend past the morning time. A woman with morning sickness may throw up or feel nauseous. This can be a very tough period and some women have bouts so severe that they actually lose weight. As far as the fetus is concerned, there is a lot of growth going on during this period but the baby is still extremely small at this point.

Second Trimester: When the second trimester arrives, morning sickness should have subsided. The throwing up and nausea should be past by now to the relief of women who have experienced it. The baby is growing at a tremendous rate. Mom may be putting on some pounds at well.  Doctor visits at this point may be once a month if there are no complications. It will be necessary to choose the hospital where the woman would like to deliver in the second trimester if not sooner. Gather as much pregnancy information as you can. This will give you more of an idea of what to expect.

Third Trimester: Once the third semester starts, everything seems to start going by very quickly. Things begin to move pretty fast. It’s a good idea to start making arrangements or at least plans as it concerns childcare and employment (whether you plan to go back or not). It might also be fun to do some window shopping and make decisions about baby furniture. Choosing items for the baby registry will also be important during the third trimester in anticipation of the baby shower.  During the last month of pregnancy the baby will gain about a pound of week. Mom is likely to gain a noticeable amount of weight during this time as well.

While pregnancy can be a beautiful thing, not everyone is able to experience it. Some individuals find it difficult to become pregnant even after numerous attempts. This can be heart wrenching especially for someone who really wants a baby. If having a baby is something that you would like to do but you have been unable to, take some time and read the following guide: Pregnancy Miracle. It discusses alternative methods for overcoming infertility and includes fertility tips.
